After several acquisitions, the new owner of Micro-Avionics terminated Bob in 1970.

Bob soon joined Gordon Larson at Larson Electronics (formerly Bonner Specialties) and once again transformed the product line, as he had at Micro-Avionics. Following the 1972 sale and renaming of Larson Electronics to RS Systems, Novak found himself ousted when his business partner sold the company to Tech-Serv of Beltsville, Maryland in 1975.
